Default What is this pipe?

Hi... sorry but I'm a compete Subaru newbie.

My brother's car is up for sale atm and after a umm... 'custom' repair shall we say, it has now unfortunately failed. Can anyone tell me what this pipe is, how much it will cost roughly and the best place to source one?

Thanks a lot...

Sorry guys should have been more specific but was uploading from phone and couldn't tell how clear it was. Yeah top rad hose makes sense, it's for a 1995 WRX... there seems to (luckily) be one on eBay atm, is this the right one?

Thanks a lot for your help, the bidding ends tonight so need to it sorted asap.

You're going to rely on a 2nd hand pipe to keep your engine safe?.......................................buy a new one.

This!

Buy silicon replacements, they're cheap enough, eg;

Yeah the car's only done around 15,000 miles in the last 6 years or so but has never had a service, or even an oil change iirc, but that's how my family treat cars!

As you can probably guess, eBay pipe ordered! Cheers for your help.
