Unhappy Car Gone Wrong

On Saturday my car starting misfiring. As I came home it made a deep bang, started chucking out black smoke won't tick over has no power, won't go out of negative boost (though I'm guessing that's due to lack of power) and eventually cuts out. I managed to limp home off boost. Tonight I checked the plugs and everyone is completely black with soot. Any ideas on where and what to look at/for next.
All suggestions are greatly appreciated thanks.

It could be 02 or maf related , i doubt it is a mapping issue for it to go instantly bad , + with the mods he's got And not mapped he would most probably be running lean not rich

Ok thanks if it is that's going to be a diagnostic job, need to find someone to use. Any chance it could be turbo? It started to make a strange whine, but also wondered if that was just due to the rough running.

First things first check all hoses / pipes for leaks , second unplug maf to see if there's any noticeable effect , if the car stalls the maf could be ok , but it's still no guarantee , then it would be 02
Then start looking at things like the turbo
If you can get it plugged in that would save you some hassle

No Ralph not yet as run out of time tonight.
Thanks Toneh given me lots to check and try tomorrow. One of my mates has also suggested the fuel pressure regulator so that's something to consider as well.

I know it sounds stupid and sure you would of checked to begin with but do you reckon there might be a leak in one of your hoses?

Crazy idea I know...forgive me but silly things happen!

Tell me about it, jus hope the lack of back pressure hasn't caused any lasting damage to the turbo. Can't wait for the run now, and so glad it wasn't expensive. Imagine explaining that just before the wedding.

It's the back pressure created by DV delete that is more likely to cause turbo damage!

John it still has a dump valve in it but because its a pre facelift it doesn't go it the intercooler pipe work like on the later models, so that hole has to be blanked.
Adrian you won't believe how relieved I was when I found the problem, especially with the timing lol.
Yeah Adam someone in Chelmsford has a td05 so I may see if I can get it.
