Hi peeps, right ive got a impreza uk 2000 classic on a 1999plate, i bought the car with a full s/s system with both decats. And a fmic.. Ive done a full service on her new plugs brakes filters etc etc.. Ive just put in a hks turno timer and boost gauge and noticed my boost gradually builds up starting at 2k rpm then not hitting full boost until5k rpm? Both my mates with scoobys there under full boost at 3k rpm? Any advice or help? And it hits 1bar of boost at 5k rpm but then drops to 0.85 :-s

Have you had her remapped? Sounds pretty dire, worth contacting Harvey on here about his ported headers and flow mached up pipes, they help with the spool up.

No mate i havnt but not sure if previous owner did... And no il try to contact harvey does he have a shop ie online or is it a case of finding him via the forum and messaging him, thing is shes not had alot of work done to her so cant understand why shes not hitting full boost until 5k :-(

Have you replaced the vacuum hoses on the turbo ? If so is the restrictor pill still in the piupework ? If not, there should be one in the pipe from the turbo to the t piece.

what turbo and spec fella? mine has been mapped from andy f on a td05 and doesnt pull hard until 4k. if your mates have td04,s or smaller turbos then they will spool up a lot quicker.

No mate restricted pill is still there :-s and ive checked for leaks etc, n no bud its just the standard td04 :-s

Massive oversized uppipe ?

Seen a few of these bought as an upgrade but end up only actually destroying boost

No mate up pipe is standard :-s could it be the turbo starting to go? Its not smoking etc though n does pull hard when at 5k... Or possibly the decat downpipe?
