Default Timing belt

Can anyone tell me how many hours a garage should charge for for replacing a timing belt on a uk 1999 impreza, is 3 hours about right. Looked at a workshop manual and it seems a easy stright forward job.

if you want to do it yourself have a look here (https://www.scoobynet.com/general-te...lt-change.html) is all the stuff you need.
If your anyway handy round an engine its simple job, if not get someone to do it.
most of the work is taking off stuff to get at the belt! and putting it back on again....

took me about 3 to do replacing plugs water pump and all pulleys..

Why do garages wont £237 to do the job then when the belt is only £50.

because there is tensioners and other pulleys to change, then you have vat.

£237 isn't a bad price imho
