Default help anyone?

this is my 2.0L subaru impreza WRX & it recently started making this knocking noise. does anyone know what this sound is and what is the fix? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0QcB2...ature=youtu.be

Sounds like a bad big end bearing failure, The bearings between the rod/s and the crank have failed/overheated, No easy fix mate, New engine or rebuild time.

I'd say so but only heard it on my phone, No doubt someone else will confirm it but you might be able to check with the sump off and see if there is any movement in the rods, Can't always tell this way though

If the knocking stays consistent with the revs it's bearings IMO

i would presume if you took sump off there would be lots of metal in the oil.

sounds fooked to me though
