Default Flushing out a new intercooler?

I'm about to order a FMIC. Is there any need to flush out a brand new one to remove swarf etc or are they ok to use straight out of the box?

Gave the core a good spray of APC inside and flushed it through with a hose. Will do the same to the pipework when I get to fit it!

If it is a quality product it most certainly does not need cleaning out. Having fitted many of these, new, I am not aware we have ever cleaned one out in advance.
