What amp wiring is the main wire in a classic, looking to fit an isolator switch but i'm not sure what amp the positive wire that runs from the battery to the fuse boxes are?

I beleive the battery is capable of 60 amps, so would it be 60 amp wire or would it be less?

The battery is 60amp hr. Starter pulls 2/300 amps. Id personally want at least 100amp into the main fuse box

The vehicle is a track car and has no electronics apart from the lights, ECU and the sensors running the car so it's never going to be pulling the full 60 amps i would imagine.

There is a seperate wire for the alternator as standard.

I just don't want to use to high amp wiring as this can cause resistance.

Thats different. Work out what electrics you have and there amp usage then go for the smallest safe wiring avaiable. Probably less than 60 i would have thought

So the battery is 60 AH, not a max capacity of pulling 60 amps?
