Evening all. I have another riddle for you. Had battery and parking brake light on, car broke down, recovery reckoned battery and alternator at fault.

Changed both and when you start car up, battery light still on.

Unplugged green plug from alternator, checked 3 wires (blue, yellow & black/white) and noticed blue wire had been soldered and rejoined. Disconnected blue wire and alternator and battery are working fine. Someone suggested to me the blue wire could be linked to the "Smart charge system".
Can anyone confirm this and if so, what do I need to do to get issue corrected.
