Your ecu can be mapped to whatever you need , no need to change to aftermarket at all
And if you do decide you want anti lag / launch / switchable maps , it can do that too

"no need to change to aftermarket at all" I dont agree with that, a good aftermarket ecu gives you more control and more options.

As above aftermarket ECU will allow you better control and give you more option, which can be good just for you

OE ECU have limits, but on yours I would consider forging engine before I would go with bigger/better turbo and mapping

To my knowledge the only advantage of an after market ecu is higher resolution
Which depending on the mapper can give slightly better results
And a stock ecu can have all the features an aftermarket has
The results rest a hell of a lot more on the mapping than the ecu
Also the op said will it be ok for the power he's looking for
Yes it will
The benefit of after market would be based on smoother running , and will not yield any more power , just more control , as I said (depending on who maps it )

Agreed on this, but sometimes with aftermarket ECU you can have worse running than with OE ECU,as you are said all depends on the mapper as everything

OE ECU is good for OP and I wouldn't brother with aftermarket ECU,on his OE ECU can run SD(speed density) plus I'm not sure on the boost limits on the V8/V9 OE ECU

I would say everything depends on the targets which he have and budget

The need to use an aftermarket ecu on this model year should be determined by the objectives for the car, the oem ecu is very capable, my own car is sat at 552 bhp and 550 ft lbs without stretching it. But if I were looking to compete with it then I would be wanting to change, not because it would drive any differently, but simply to gain the extra sensor inputs/control functions and combinations of map settings that I may need.

If you do not want a zillion map sets then oem at this level works very nicely.

You can use any map sensor as long as the calibration work is done properly and ecu error coding adjusted. The std one will allow 1.7/1.8 bar boost to be run and maintain the safety cut.

cheers
