Sounds like she needs a good full service, plugs, coilpack, oils, filters etc and check the down pipe/ up pipe or mani fold isn't blowing/ cracked n see if that cures her, after that try maf, crank/cam sensors and so on and so forth! Servicing is key to the Scoob good luck with her

You need to find someone who will give you an honest opinion and has good Subaru knowledge. I don't particularly know any Subaru garages in Hull but if you send a PM to Chocolate O Brien on here I am sure he will point you in the right direction or might even be prepared to look at the car for you to give some advice. He is not in Hull unfortunately but somewhere on the other side of the Humber towards sunny Scunny.

Hi fella, welcome to the madhouse. There's plenty of us around the area, as Harvey said I'm over in Scunny along with Alcazar and there are other members in Hull too.

I'd certainly recommend looking in the local sections too for meets, gatherings, rolling road days, runs etc. I participate when I can but have a young family so that can be limiting.

I don't know of the garage you mentioned above but as said I'm sure one of your fellow Hullians would confirm anything regards local specialists.

Folk like Harvey on here are very knowledgeable and definitely worth taking notice of. I know a little bit about Scoobs as many others do as we take interest in our cars from a mechanical aspect.

Let us know how you get on as I'm sure the thread could be used for others in similar positions in the future.

Andy

P.S., regards the history, many imports came with nothing so you may only get the paper work accumulated whilst in this country. It's one of the drawbacks with owning a 2ns hand imported car I guess (had it myself in 2006 with a 95 wrx which turned out to be a dog unfortunately).
