Why do you want a close deck block?
Are they any more reliable than an open deck below around 400bhp?

appranrlty it has mahle pistons sti 8 conrods new crank, heads v6 rebuilt with it

there are apparently the strongest engine blocks

Yes they are but not needed unless you are headed north of 500bhp

A CDB is stronger but only really if you are running big power and boost. Been told that below 400bhp it's not really a concern. All depends what car you have though

i just wanted a strong bullet proof engine that was new its quite a good deal i thought as it includes everything...gaskets timint belt kits etc new heads and new pistons etc....ps i was thinking of rebuuilding my old block anyway you see

Thats fair enough but all the info you have on the engine is " i was told by the previous owner" how often does that line turn up when a for sale advert is involved.?


..........but hey its your money.
