Default Spec c Fuel rail brackets?

Hi all.

I am fitting a spec c inlet manifold to my bug wrx.

Got everything off ok, and started fitting the fuel rails etc to the new manifold. Now I knew the brackets wouldn't fit as the holes were a different distance part, what I didn't realise was they were also slightly offset.

Has any body got over this? And do you have any advice or pictures?

Thanks
Andy

I believe you have to have specific rails for the one piece manifold.I have a one piece spec-c manifold with oe spec-c fuel lines/rails as I'm flipping my manifold and fitting aftermarket billet rails.

Rails are very different, they will need spacing up, out and across!

You can get billet rails with Spec C brackets from a range of people, I have Pennine Subaru ones on mine, RCMP do them, I think Carl Davey does them now and some eBay rails do come with the Spec C brackets.

I originally ran mine on some adapters (C.J. Special one off design!) with std fit Perrin rails, basically it was a flat piece of steel with tapped holes to bolt the rail too then this was bolted to the manifold on a spacer (pile of washers) this worked fine for around a year but made swapping injectors a pain and I needed to swap to an adjustable for hence the swap.

Thanks guys. I have contacted cdf as I found a thread on here late last night, where he was going through the process of making them. I will have a look at these others too though.

Also is an adjustable FPR needed for the the billet fuel rails? Or is the stock one up to it?

Thanks

If you're going billet you might as well go for a decent fpr, it's the cost of teflon hoses that will spin your head unless you like the smell of petrol under the hood!

I priced up the billet rails, fuel Lab fpr, hoses and fittings and nearly fell off my chair.

Having all the above isnt really worth it at this level of tune, so may just get the brackets made up to use the existing. Then If I ever have a rebuild and go for more power I can at least factor all of this stuff into the cost.

Hi Andy

You can buy any fuel rails, you will need just make some brackets which is not hard to do or you can ask machine shop to do

About the FPR and parallel mod,all depends how much bhp you are thinking to run,but looks nice if its done properly

Many people running cheap eBay billet rails without the problem at 500-600bhp and seems people are very happy with them

Thanks Jura, I have the current fuel rails which I am going to re use. And am having some brackets made up at the moment. I didnt realise how expensive all the little bits were going to be, so for the moment at least I am going to re use what I have.

I'm only going to be around 330-340 ish so no point in having an fpr and parallel set up.

Maybe in the future but not needed now.

Thanks
Andy
