Default Fuel Surge Mod..

Hi folks

I picked up this thread from an NA Subaru website - looks crude but don't see why this wouldnt do the job....?!

http://www.ludicrous-speed.com/wiki/...fuel_slosh_mod

My car is to be used for trackday's only - I'm fitting an HRC uprated pump, but as cant' stretch to full seperate surge tank setup just yet (£!), be interested to hear people thoughts on the above...??

Cheers!

Looks like it may work to a degree, I have seen cruder (marg box).

No beating a proper swirl pot setup though.

its just a fuel baffle.
I would be careful about what plastic I put inside a tank for extended periods of time...
getting something in ali' knocked up might be better.

Should be alright, the plastic the guy used in the tutorial is for a model aircraft fuel tanks. Don't see why that wouldn't be OK for car fuel.

Seems like a good mod for the cost!

OK I didnt read the link in full, just looked at the pic..
if the bottle has been designed to hold fuel then no issues, other regular plastics might not like it so much

Been doing a bit more research on tinternet and came across this on the Demon Tweeks website....???

http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/motors...nk-baffle-foam

As the principle is to stop the surge and fuel "slosh" inside the fuel cell, this should provide a baffling affect......so might give this a try see how I get on once (finally) get the old girl out on track.
