Default PPP or a better option?

Guys, I'm sure this has been asked a thousand times already and I'm sorry for pissing anyone off for asking again but I can't seem to find the answer I'm looking for!
I pick my Hawkeye STI up next weekend and am compiling a list of modifications I'm wanting to undertake.

The car has had nothing more than the following freshly done and ran in before I bought her: The block halves were decked, overbored and plateu honed on each cylinder.

The cylinder heads have been skimmed.

Then:
2x 1.1 mm Cosworth Multilayer Stopper Gaskets.
1x ACL Race series Main bearings
1x ACL Race series Big End Bearings.
1x set Mahle 99.75 mm 4032 Forged Pistons complete with wrist pins Lock Clips and Ringset.

The car has NOT got the PPP fitted so my question is: Is there an alternative which is either cheaper or produces better results then spending the £1.5k plus on PPP?

Have a look on the Prodrive website. From memory the ppp package is only 3 changes from std.

Far better option, talk to a mapper.. Have some mods recommended to go with his the re-map

I've looked on the Prodive site and it's saying the PPP kit for 2006 - 2007 2.5 STI = £1,663.83.
The thing that I'm wondering about is would I be better spending that money on other parts and get a map that is actually specific to my car as opposed to one designed to run on any 2006 - 2007 2.5 STI out there.

Yup, spend your cash on a level one upgrade. you will save a packet and will perform better than PPP.

From memory IIRC,
1/ STI with PPP...sports cat downpipe
2/ silicone intercooler y pipe
3 /PPP ecu
4/ PPP backbox
5/ decat midpipe?
Didn`t they do handling packs too?

Still a lot of money though and as said probably better off getting a level one upgrade.

Yer that list looks about right mate.
When you say level one I assume you're talking about something similar to the stage one pack provided by Scoobyworld?

My opinion. Dont bother with the PPP. Not worth it for the cars age really.

Sports cat downpipe,
decat 2nd pipe
Walbro gs342 fuel pump
K&N panel filter
Andy forrest racerom remap

360-370bhp easy to hit with those mods
