Question classic slam panel / bonnet catch differences between '96 and '98

Hi,

My car is actually a 1997 facelift, but i need a new front panel after an accident.

To those who retrofitted facelift bonnets to earlier cars, are there differences in the slam panel or bonnet catch between older and facelift classics?

I ask because the only 'front-cut' on ebay for a classic at the moment is a '96. So pre-facelift...

Thanks

I think they are the same.

Otherwise, how do people do facelifting?

by changing the relevant parts one would assume, but this is why I'm asking what's involved.

Bonnet latch is different, ever so slightly but it is different.

It's not as deep(?) on a facelift car.

Although that could just be another Subaru anomaly.
