How to get ecu tek unlocked?

Default How to get ecu tek unlocked?

Hello guys
My farther in law had a 2002 wrx not long brought the car took it in for service and belts changed, and he wanted the pops n bangs taken off but the garage said the ecu was locked, how can we get the password or get it unlocked

i was told that pops n bangs can not be added to an ecutek map? sure its not the exhaust itself mayb? then again i may have been mis informed.

As far as I'm aware pops and bangs on a ecutek are mapped as "over run" which can be set by the mapper.

I'm sure any mapper on here can confirm or help you with your query.

Is there anything in the history regarding who the car was mapped with as they will be your best point of contact.

as above guys pops and bangs can be added to an ecutek mapped ecu as over runmine was mapped by jgm before and without a doubt the best smile feature done while mapping,but any ecutek mapper should sort this but will require a tweek to get rid of it

Thanks guys he has paper work from scoobyclinic but nothing about the map?? So I just need get hold of a ecu tek mapped to tweak it?
