A general remap query.
Is there an answer to this general question re' mapping ?
Car A, a JDM import, turbo, as standard, no mods at all, run on 97/98 ron fuel in the UK and has around 240bhp as normal. Just a remap will increase bhp by approx 30, improve perfomance in mid range etc.
Yes ???? Have I got that generally correct ?
Car B, a UK/EU spec car, turbo, as standard, no mods at all, runs on 95 ron fuel in the UK and again has around 240 bhp in normal oem spec. Just a remap will increase bhp by ????? roughly a similar amount, 30 bhp or so, or would it be less as fuel is only 95 ?
Not looking for extremes , just a sensible development.
Thanks

Map will take account of which fuel you wish to use, obviously if you turn up with a tank of 95ron you cannot have it mapped to 99ron etc.
All things being equal on the two cars i.e. turbo the same etc then the output should theoretically be the same when mapped to the higher octane.
