Default Removing TMIC??

Hi guys, I've had a quick search but can't find any guides on how to do this. I'm gonna fit a decat downpipe on my 99 STI and it looks like I need to remove the intercooler to get to all the bolts. Is it just a case of removing the pipes held on with jubilee clips and the 2 bolts each side of the intercooler or is there more underneath?

Yep, easy enough. Two 12mm head bolts (one either side) which hold the intercooler to the bracket. The the intercooler to throttle body hose jubilee clip (one that looks like a chode ) which needs undoing and the intercooler y-pipe to turbo hose jubilee clip.

Might also be worth undoing the re-circ/BOV hoses so they're not damaged when shuffling the intercooler out the way.

I managed to fit a decat downpipe on a drive with a mate by removing the intercooler and also jacking the car up for underneath access. The 5 turbo bolts were surprisingly easy to remove when taking off the standard downpipe.

Have fun

yup an easy job i find that if you take out the right hand side bracket makes it easier as more room. mine seems to need to go that way first to remove it.
