That's the code for the pressure sensor...so if you've changed that, then I would have thought it was pipework perhaps? IIRC on the early cars there's a plate that has the pressure sensor, boost control solenoid and, um, something else...I would check that all is plumbed correctly in that vicinity.

Not too sure about the early cars and ecu mods, but surely pipes off the boost solenoid and .5 bar Of boost say to me, connect the pipes up see what happens!!

BCS should have at least 2 pipes going to it, usually 3.

One connects to the boost-side of the turbo, usually a nipple on the compressor housing, but could be in the inlet manifold; the other connects to the wastegate. The third pipe goes to the intake pipework, mainly for emissions purposes, and not the end of the world if its not connected.

But if you really only have one connected, something's not right - Polar chip or not.

Hmmm...if this car has a 2-port solenoid (I'm sure '94's had 3 ports) then I guess there might only be one pipe to the BCS, with the other that usually goes to the intake now venting to air.

A bleed valve would be associated with the t-piece that runs between compressor cover and wastegate.

So...I may not have helped at all really...oops.

Code 45 is as described the Manifold Pressure Sensor, for you to have a code 45 there is either no power or communication between the sensor and the ecu, if the ecu cannot see the pressure sensor it will stop the operation of the boost solenoid which would limit you to wastegate pressure approx 0.5 bar, but for this to happen your boost control solenoid would have to be correctly plumbed in.

Cheers Iain

Hmmm...usual plumbing of a 3 port is that it is between compressor and waste gate so it can modulate the pressure to the wastegate. If you only have one pipe, there is something not right...or, at least, something not standard!!

Since the fault occurred has anything else been changed? Could you have accidently plumbed it all back incorrectly?

Think you need to check the pipework.

removing the cel light is a nasty trick.
id hook all the boost control up if you can. the pp chip runs as much boost as youd want. any more and your asking for trouble. that said if a bleed valve is fitted so long at is set at 16psi your ok. can you post a photo of your drivers inner wing and we can help with the plumbing.
