Default Fault P2102 Throttle Actuator Fault

Hi all,

Just asking for a bit of advice.

I own an Impreza Hawkeye WRX 07 plate. Had it for over a year with no problems. Anyway today after leaving it parked for about 2-3 hours, when starting it up the engine management light came on and it went into safe mode. It would only throttle up to about 1500 revs so I called the RAC.

The RAC bloke plugged his diagnostic computer in and it came up with "Fault P2102 Throttle Actuator Control Motor Circuit Low" He cleared the fault off and said it may never appear again but might be worth getting it looked at"

The car ran fine back home and seemed to run just as it always has with no problems and no loss of power.

Any ideas what I need to do so this doesn't happen again.

Thanks all!

this is probably a sticking stepper motor for throttle butterfly due to dirt/oil build up some cleaner around this area may well sort the prob, the fault code could also relate to a faulty throttle pedal potentiometer on pedal
