Heys, 02 bug eye WRX

So ive got a knocking when i go over small bumps, road humps etc and steering wheel vibration wobble from 80-85mph,

Looked at it on the drive and waggled stuff and the steering, the knocking can be felt at the steering rack end of the track rod, NOT the ball joint/wheel end.

This looks to me like a new steering rack is needed,

1. is this a hard job?
2. taking the opportunity, is there a quick rack for these cars? approx price?
