Default how to change power steering fluid?

hi,as above,what is the procedure to change the power steering fluid on a classic sti 98?
how do you empty it and refill and does it need bleeding?

The way i do it is to remove the pipe union on the rack, this lets about 3/4 of the fluid leak out.
tighten union, refill with half the fluid needed, start her up, turn steering wheel side to side a few times (this is how you bleed the system) turn engine off and repeat.

after the 2nd drain down, re-fill with required amount and you have a 95% fresh load of fluid and only takes about 30 mins if chilling

Maybe put the front wheels on glossy magazines so they turn rasier.

Best method I have found is to buy a big syringe from ebay.
Use it to suck out the contents of the reservoir and then fill with fresh.
Run the engine and circulate the fluid and then empty it again.

Do this a couple of times and you'll have virtually all new fluid in the system without causing any airlocks etc.

I have used Don's method for many years now. No doubt it's the easiest and less messy method.
