Default Back seats

Can anybody help me out i have a 99 impreza 2000turbo the facelift model. Unfortunately my lever by the driving seat to open the boot has stopped working and I have ad the car delocked so I can't get in my boot ha great ey. My seats appear to fold down they have two panels in them and hinges on the bottom but I can't for life of me figure out how to get them to drop down there appears to be a metal catch on toP of each panel that hooks into the underside of the headrest does anyone know how u drop them down so I can get into the boot and free up my bonet release catch?

Thanks

Luke

The strap to open the rear seats is in the gap between the top of the seat cushion below the head rest put your fingers in the gap you will find it, it folds in after use.

Check you have also not pushed the lever on the boot catch that cancels the boot release in the car.

Fantastic :d it's been stuck for over a week and within 6 minutes on posting its sorted! I couldn't see the straps whoever had the car before me had ticke them through to the boot but when I knew to look for them I managed to fish them out, and you were right it was the catch to disable the boot release I must have knocked it last time I shut it I would never have known that. 100% thumbs up great help thank u very much I'm happy now

Wish I had a £1 for every time someone does this.

And the same for that little switch on top of the steering column
