Default wagon auto info needed

Can you rev an auto to 3/4000 revs and stick it in drive.

Can you also handbrake the auto.

cheers.

Yes you can , but have some money saved for a new gearbox. The torque converter will go bang as it try's to shift the power so good luck.
Regarding hand brake turns , better off dropping car in D2 if you feel the need to do it,as you will have more control over the throttle & car won be trying to change up/down .

What you are describing is Auto/brake Launch control, which is OK,but can cause lots of problems or can cause damage of your gearbox

There are few threads about this on Nasioc or other US forums,on Uk forums you will hardly find something what is about the 4EAT(Subaru autoboxes) and tuning on them

cheers for the replies. I just wanted to get the 0-60 down a bit rather than waiting till it reaches 3000 before it takes off.

Thats a little bit strange mate as std autos have td04 turbos and boost normally starts at around 2500 rpm.The only time i have known them hit 3000 rpm before they start to fly is when i have fitted a td05 and a Z4 ecu,but the mid range is better.

it probably is about 2500 but takes forever getting there. a 1600 fiesta beat me off the line to about 30 before the car woke up. does 60 in about 6 but i heard the import manuals do it in 4 and a half. Im thinking about getting a second wrx.

A std wrx auto gets to from 0 - 62mph in about 6.9 seconds, which is a little bit slower than a focus st,not to bad considering it is detuned compared to the manuals A manual wrx 260 bhp will do it in about 5.4,an Sti - 4.6 seconds

Older 4EAT are slow, you can modify them, via parts from USA to shift faster and better

We're run newer model of 4EAT which have Tiptronic function and has been just amazing, great to drive and really hold the 350bhp at this time..
