As part of the ongoing racecr build I was considering a retrofit electric heater matrix
However after chatting to my mate who races a cosworth escort he has suggested just fitting a heated front screen , I have seen them available for various rally applications.
Is anyone using one?
Any pitfalls?

im actually ordering one of these very soon myself im interested if anyone has any negative feedback aswell... the few i know that do rally love them as they do the job fot the screen i suppose the obvious is the cold cab

 

I remember on FTOOC they had a GB on heated front screens..wonder how many would be interested here

 

Got one on my mates MGZR rally car. Truly top bit of kit! Highly recommended indeed. Who makes them for Subaru then? I know they used to be Fords only.

Don`t forget you`ll have to factor in the fitting cost and where to get that done.

 

I have one in my rally car and no heater and it works great, just remember to turn it on a bit before you think you need it as they take a few minutes to work

 

I was after a Bronze one, but they only did clear, and I really only wanted bronze.

As for fitting if you accidentally break your screen and get a new one, when they turn up ask them to fit that instead

 

 

I might get one just because lol, got one in the galaxy and they clear really fast
