Hi guys.

I THINK my HG has gone but need to verify with some questions if you dont mind...

basicly driving home from work all of a sudden as you do i looked at my temp gauge and was up to 3/4 as we all know thats to high and my incar heater started blowing cold with a slight smell!! ... when pulled over popped the bonnet and straight away saw coolent all over my front bumper ... obviasly pissed out the exp tank "right hand side overflow plastic bottle" anyway turned of engine and let it cool....

opened the header tank and was no water in there.. so filled it back up ran it round the block... heated up normal speed, so decided to boost up a little ... straight away temp went back up, pulled back in at home and same thing pissing out with water from the overflow tank, took the cap of and was bubbleing a bit.

Checked oil etc that seems fine with no "while" gunk etc oil seems thin as it should, header tank smells a little, theres no banging etc from engine, sounds normal. is this almost certain the HG? Please say no lol

Sounds like head gasket to me.

have u not recently canged the colant?? but if its smelling anusin the water goin rond the block its goin somewhere soo ad agree with chopperman..... HG

You could try a new pressure cap but I'm sorry to telly you it's probably the HG.
