removed my turbo today as think it has gone.
My problem is, I have never had one go, and was expecting oil everywhere but there isnt????
I do have play on shaft, in that I can push it in and pull it out quite a bit from the inlet side. The car lost boost randomly for a while, and was smoking.

Any help much appreciated.

There should be very little or no play in and out on a turbo so yours sounds knackered

If you can push and pull the shaft out then the turbo is no good mate you might want to rebuilt it or get a new 1
