Default Knock Sensor Problem

I have just done a test on my subaru impreza 1999 and it has come up with a fault code 22

I have previously posted that my car was stalling at lights and junctions and it was suggested it was the Maf but would the knock sensor produce the same symptoms i.e. stalling as I cant seem to find anything about it on the internet or on here
