As per title, the relay is 1 of round silver ones by the fuel pump relay, car was fine it just died while driving it after a wash, all plugs checked for water and have been wd40 maf is dry cam belt intact,

All that happened was drive round an island and it stopped,

I am confused as to why the cel light is flashing in time with this really and also the brown solenoid above my boost solenoid, it's as if there if a feed missing ie:a broken wire----

Any help would be great full I hate having to mess about

Sounds like its somehow gone into diagnostic mode....can't help you anymore than that, it's the limit of my knowledge :-)

mine did this. one of the relays had failed. it was the main relay (brown) but there are two more up there which also control the fuel pump.
as a temp measure i broke the lid off and cleaned the terminals that fixed it for a bit. but i dont think you can break the lids off the silver ones.
