Default Thoughts on these?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Knock-Sens...item46018ed638

Looking for a decent knock sensor, and would like to do the LED mod to fit above my clocks.

Anyone bought one of these? How do you rate them?

I did the LED mod to a Knocklink unit. It seems okay as when I had the car on the rollers after fitting it, it showed Det as the mapper picked it up. Some say it is a gimmic but each to their own opinion.

Whilst the KS3 is probably the best of the devices available, (I use one) especially to a modified car, it's not perfect. If it's not in direct eyeline the puny little warning LED is easy to miss and the audio warning could be drowned out by a noisy car. Annoyingly, it needs to be re-set after a warning. Ideally, it should automatically re-set and store the max reading?
Having said that, it is good and is expandable for mapping purposes.
It's not cheap - probably about five times the cost of the e-bay device but it does come complete with sensor which the said device doesn't!
