Default Crankshaft Position Sensor A

Please help, I did a search and none the wiser. I had a CEL P0335 and its as above ,,,,but is there more than one sensor on the engine ?. Is there a sensor at the back of the engine under the intercooler or is there only the one at the front under the alternator ?

The car fails to start now and then, leave it 10 mins and it burst into life. I dont mind buying a sensor but will this solve the issue?. I am starting to wonder if I bought a Lancia as the electrics are failing by the day.

Import car parts your best bet for a sensor, have you checked the resistance of the sensor to make sure its that and also there maybe a connection in wiring that maybe dodgy?

Hi this error/CEL is normal if you are hitting rev limiter, this error will disappear after few starts.
Its nothing for what you can be worried.

And mainly what i've seen is only on WRX

The car has never seen limiter, its a 2.5 282bhp and 350lbs no need to take above 5700 rpm its done 52k miles and no ringland issues

Sorry guys, forgot this is a open thread. Long story but ended up with 2 brand new crank sensors, fitted one about 3 months ago no more issues. It turned out to be the crank sensor after all, took all of 15 mins to fit 2 mins if god gifted me with hands that were petite.
