Question Exeedy twin plate. How Much Meat

Can anyone tell me how much Meat the Paddles should have on the Exceed twin plate?

I recently Purchased one advertised as low Miles.

I went to fit it yesterday, and stopped as it looks like their is almost Nothing left on the paddles?

their is also a bit of Bluing, from heat transfer.
Can anyone advise?

I have not contacted the seller, because i may be wrong in thinking it's almost dead, so thought i would ask here first.

I have fitted 2 Hyper D Core's and a Carbon D core. and i thought they had a lot more meat than this.

Thanks
Derek

to be honest the clutch plates do look like they have had a hard life, there is wear on the clutch and the blueing is heat transfer,it all depends how the seller described it,if he said it was a low miles clutch with a little wear then i would contact him,but depending on how much power was going through that clutch you can kill a brand new clutch if its not bedded in properly.first port of call contact the seller and give him a chance to rectify the problem.

I received it exactly 2 weeks ago today, but because of the seller's Reputation on all BBS, I never opened it till yesterday which was the first chance i had to attempt to fit.

I will hold off, and see if anyone who supply's or has fitted one of these replies today, If Not i will Message the Seller.

I have edited the sellers name from the Advert, as i am not here to name and shame, just want to save my self possible embarrassment of saying it's fecked only to have a supplier / fitter say well actually that looks good to me.

I am a Mechanic myself, and the sellers Reputation is what has me questioning my opinion of the clutch condition.

Looks like that has had abuse & some good use. Not worth putting it on, how much did you pay for it?

The plates look to have had a hard life, its the steel top plate you need to worry about as they warp.turn it upside down and put a steel ruler or something flat across the surfaces
If there not flat then its not worth fitting.

I took it to a Local Garage, Rally Driver Andy Grant uses this clutch, and confirmed that these do not have much to begin with, and some of the PUk's are ok, but some is almost gone. He also pointed out a high spot on the flywheel and centre plate.

He also said a steel Rule on the spring plate would probably show it's not flat, but he advised i Return it.

The seller did get back to me last night and said we could get replacement plates or return.
So i have asked to return it.

Now i need to either find another twin plate. or get a new Clutch / flywheel Combo.

guess i need to weigh up the cost options now.
