Default 2 pot retaining pins.

Hi there,

Just got some 2 pot rears for my classic, and was trying to get the pad retaining pins out, but they are stuck, it has a Philips head on them do you have to twist them, or is this just to help removal?

The guy I bought them off has painted over the front of them, so this doesn't help. Plus a bit of rust.

Do I just spray with a release agent, and bang away?

Thanks chap.

Dont bang, tap, they should slide out. have you taken the locking pins out of the pin ends ? or they may have a locking spring wire that locks both pins.
The phillips head is to rotate the pin to line the hole at the end of the pin for the spring locker to push through.

Be gentle, the calipers are alloy.

I have a set of Stainless Steel replacement pins if you are interested?
