Default oil usage

Hi guys, had my UK turbo for 6 months now no problems apart from last month oil light came on, I topped it up. All was fine until this week when it keeps flashing as I brake or go round corners, I have look or leaks and nothing. What would that indicate? Do the engines use much oil? Thanks for the help

The oil light is usually a pressure light, if it is coming on you have too little oil pressure, may be a faulty sender, would be worth trying that first as they are cheap and easy. If it continues to do i'd be concerned about oil pump or big end problems.

If the lights come on while driving either it's a faulty sensor or you have fubar'd your engine - the light is next to useless as if it comes on you've almost certainly damaged the engine due to far too low oil pressure.

Would there be any other signs pointing towards a messed up engine? All else seems fine and it only happens during braking or turning not on acceleration.
