hi chaps recently purchased a classic my99 i have a full 3" sytem fitted with 3" sports cat but im not liking the centre section or rear box and how it hangs ! and i cant just fit another rear box as the join between the 2 is right near the rear box and i havent see another system like it ! i keep seeing centre and rear systems up for grabs but all 2.5 so can you buy flange reducers or do some have 3" flanges but are 2.5 ?

On mine the downpipe goes from a 3" to 2.5" right at the bottom then mates to a 2.5" centre and backbox.

The system you have is probably a jap system & is 3' inch all the way mating up to the downpipe, and from your post above may have a resonator section before the back box .If you buy a std 2.5 centre section it should still mate to your sports cat,you will just need to use a doughnut gasket to seal it properly and away you go.
