General advice please!!!
Hello people.
On my 5th scooby over the years but not a mechanic by any means, I had a my99 classic I had to replace a engine in last year, now on a 2001 wrx with 106k with fssh. Since I have had the car I have had the cambelt and tensioner done, Venturi decat uppipe, middle decat leaving downpipe in place, unknown make rear silencer fitted, recently mapped by dunc, on a dyno day it was found to be running lean so just had walbro and map tweak. Jobs that still need doing, rockers, some rear bushes and a stereo, standard in there at the moment!!! I run momentum, after my classic I am always worried about bottom end going, sensors are all reading ok etc. I know the scoop doesn't really work after 100mph and on a hot day be careful of standing idle or coming off the motorway then pushing it a bit. Question is I have recently read some posts of people not taking their scoobys past 5k due to big end failure worry, kind of defeats the object of owning a fast car? It gets warmed up and cooled down. Any other advice, my mrs has had enough of me saying every week my car needs this that etc, lol. Have I got most of it covered in terms of minimising engine failure? I do take it past 5k though.
Thanks in advance!!!

No that is the one thing I didn't do but didnt think about it at the time, the classic engine that went into the my99 did had a rcm in, if I keep the car that long I will get one.
