i'm not running know where near your power , i've only 350 i run the yokohama 048 in 235/45/17 m/h compound
i have used to toyo 888 on my evo 8
i find the 048 a miles better tyre , the grip is the same as the toyo 888 , but i found after about 5 laps the toyo tyres would start going off, and the car would start sliding about where as the 048 seamed to take the punishment better , i could stay out longer and they never seamed to go off like the toyo did
i also found the 048 would last well , length wise too
any more questions please ask i'll try and help

I have run many sets of R888s 225/17/45
I am now running 225/17/45 AD08s These are a very very good tyre in the dry, and cope well in the wet, much better than R888s in the wet, and on par with them in the dry
and as for usage / mileage, AD08s last 4 times longer that the R888s.
I prefer 45s in stead of 35, thats why I run 17s, less chance of the tyres snatching with 45s
