Was the airbag light on when the OMP wheel was in place?

if not, the previous owner may have inserted a resistor, which will need to be removed.

As for the horn, it works by the horn being live all the time and the horn SWITCH just makes the earth. This provides a path for the current so that the horn sounds.

Did it work with the OMP wheel?
You need to look for SINGLE wires running up to the wheel which goes to an earth point.

Default horn switch help

Hi thanks for the help

The OEM steering wheel was fitted when I purchased the car and the Airbag light was on, The horn did not work, He also gave me the original steering wheel so this morning I put it back on, Connecting the airbag harness and what looks to be an earth, Those were to only 2 connectors on the plastic control center that goes on before the steering wheel.

I disconnected the battery while connecting
But after all in place the airbag light is still on and the horn still does not work

its got me baffled

Any help would be great

Airbag: dealers I'm afraid, you can't mess with those unless you know what's what.
And it will now fail an MoT with the light on.

As for the horn, do you have a basic cirtcuit tester or multimeter?
