99 uk 2000 wagon 130k. Loads of Blue tinged white smoke until engine is warm. It can hardly idle whilst cold and it may stall like this. Once warm it will hold idle and can be driven. I've had piston slap for while could this be the end of that piston? If so I doubt I can afford to fix it so its likely to be sold which given its overall condition really is sad. Its in garage for compression tests now but my guess is a ring failure as I cant believe that smoke is anything else other than serious. Any advice?
