Default Potential power increases?

With an ESL and remap on my UK MY96 Turbo 2000 what power could I expect from:

1 - Full 3" turbo back decat exhaust
2 - Decat 2.5" up-pipe
3 - New age STI intercooler (top mount)
4 - Pipercross induction kit
5 - 440 cc injectors

My aim is around 330-340 bhp, is this realistic, or will I need to upgrade my TD05 to get this?

Thanks in advance

Martin

FMIC would be better and you will be pushing the injectors (you can squeeze a bit more out with an FPR), but 330bhp is not uncommon with that spec. Power figures often depend as much on which dyno you take it to as anything else. I'm assuming you are planning to use Super Unleaded. Put 20% meth on map 2 (It's cheaper than pump fuel) and you will likely exceed that target by some margin.

Should get you close, perhaps 325-330bhp.

Worth thinking about the fuel pump and also looking at replacing the stock MAP sensor (which can only read to 1.25 bar boost) with one from a 97-00 car. The TD05 will happily run 1.35 bar in the mid range. These can be had cheaply second hand, although don't fit this until the mapping session as the calibration needs to be programmed into the ECU.

Also, make sure the intercooler has the correct matching bonnet undertray for the intercooler to guide the air flow correctly, otherwise it won't be as effective.

In answer to your question on the other thread, yes ESL can run mafless.

Thanks, I heard that a FMIC and cause lag on a TD05?

Yes will be for SU or V-Power only (all I use now)!

Thanks :-) Will get a FPR and MAP sensor too. TD05 is standard on my car, so already there no worries.

Glad about no MAF needed too :-p

Sorry my comment wasn't clear, I meant the MAP sensor can be had cheaply second hand!

FMIC shouldn't cause any significant extra lag if mapped. The FMIC and induction kit can play havoc with the MAF signal and people often mistake this for lag, but when running MAFless and properly mapped up run real nice.

Ah fair enough, that's more good news! Guess I'll go for the FMIC then and maffless :-)

I used an Autobahn FMIC (circa £200 which included the hard pipe kit, don't know if they still do them or what the current price is). 97/8 MAP Sensor should be about £30-40 secondhand.

Funny, I've just 'watched' that before your reply!
So it's just the sensor I need, not the solenoid too?

Yes just the sensor. You should see 320-340 if everything is in good working order.
