Default I'm an Idiot!

I think i've killed it, i can't believe how stupid and impatient i have been. Now i am cringing writing this because when i struggled to split the block i took a screwdriver to it to lever it apart....

I know, i know what a ****ing idiot!!!!

The second pic looks awful, and its only after a clean up i can now see the damage. It looks like i've taken a crowbar to the thing.

Is this beyond repair? Who wants to call me a **** first?

Its not really, just x amount into the face of it. Once i've finished eating last nights left over chinese i'll get a few more pics taken. I feel like such a tit, and putting this up was a difficult decision to make as i've already taken criticism which knocked my confidence already.

I'm being quite moderate due to financial restraints so 350-400BHP would be my ultimate aim (i'm no EMB or JGM, as can be ****ing seen by my stupidity).

At least you are prepared to roll your sleeves up and give it a go! Much more satisfying doing it yourself even if it is a rocky road along the way.

Can't offer any specific advice here as its way over my head but hope you get it sorted!

the only true test would be to make sure the surfaces are flat best you can build it up to the correct torque with plastiguage in the bearings and check the tolerances

Plenty mating surface left there. Just get any sharp bits off you'll be fine.

Thanks for this chaps. I've got to send it off probably to Enginetuner for the rebore/machining for thrust anyway but it would be pointless if it was un-usable.

Lol, i was suprised how easily the block moved once all the bolts were out without any hammering, thats why i thought a little prise would seem them pop away from each other. I won't make that mistake again...

It doesn't look good but at least there is plenty of land left to mate up to. I wouldn't be too worried, just tidy up the edge so there is nothing protruding upwards.
