Default New Impreza STI my08 owner - some first upgrade questions!

Hi everyone,

I'd just collected my Subaru Impreza STI 2008 this weekend, and so far I'm pleased with the car.

However, the car came completely original, except for a Ferrita catback system installed.

My intentions with the car is to use it a as fun daily driver, therefore I have some questions about some minor cosmetic upgrades.

- I think the "turbo sound" is quite low, will the sound (and performance) increase if I install a HKS Hybrid panelfilter?
- I also think the ride height is a bit to high. Can you recommend some lowering springs for me who don't ruin the traction and driving experience?
- This car came without a front lip. I just wan't a small one, but it seems impossible to find i Sweden. So, where can I get the small front lip that so many of you guys already have?

Hope you have time to answering my question! Here's two quick shots of the car.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers from Sweden!

Hi Mattias

We would choose Eibach springs as generally being the best available.
I doubt you'd notice the difference with a panel filter, other than it isn't a bad idea. I wouldn't recommend a dump valve!
We don't get into body mods ourselves.

Hi guys! Thanks for the answers.

I'm aware of the engine problems, but the former owner had the upgrade made from Subaru, so it shouldn't be a problem I think?

Is there a picture of the MY08 having the Eibach springs installed?

Another question about the perofrmance of the car.

I had a race with my friends Subaru WRX PPP -04 with 265 hp. And the race was very, very close. I thought my STI should have been fast than the WRX with PPP upgrades?
