Default Battery life/maintenance

I've had to buy a new car battery as my current one has finally given up the ghost from lack of use - I'm using the car (bugeye sti jdm) around once a fortnight at the moment.

I'll still be using it only every other weekend so is it feasible that I take the battery out until the next time I drive it each time? I asked the guy behind the counter and he said it would dry the cells if I done this. Having limited knowledge about batteries, I just nodded in agreement.

Thanks

Jon

A battery conditioner like the C tek is what you need or if that's not viable I'd just disconnect the battery as opposed to removing it.
