Hi everyone

Today i just got a 2002 wrx subaru, I love it so far but i have two problems.

The original oem cd player/tape player is still in the car and even though all the buttons light up on it , it wont turn on? The little power light flashes on and off indicating its getting power ok but I am at a loss as to what to try? Is this a common problem?

I have checked to see if any of the buttons are stuck in but they all seem fine.

Also when i picked up the car the petrol light was on so i went an put 30 pound in it , the petrol light went off however the gauge is still on empty
