Default Fitting a 6 speed uk box to a type r v5

Hi,
I've bought a newage uk 6 speed gearbox with diff/prop and shafts. It should be a r180 rear diff so my question is can I put it in mated to tge rear driveshafts already on the car or do these need to be changed?
Just asking as I know the rear hubs are different on the type r and the rear bearings are bigger in it to so not sure if the uk ones will fit?

Cheers
Chris

I fitted a uk dccd 6 speed with a r180 rear diff to my v4 type r and I was able to use my existing rear shafts. Fronts were different though as I had to fit axle stubs to the gearbox so my front shafts would fit the six speed.

That good to hear mate, how did you get on with the front shafts, did the six speed box have the stubs there already?

Just put the rear diff in tonight properly mated up to the standard shafts, checked the box out and the stub axles are in there already and it all measures up. Engine is coming out to have a good old sort out in the bay next Friday so putting it all back together then
