Default revs rise when braking

Guys
There is no mechanical issue with the car (well hope not) drives superb, stops excellent. What i have noticed is when i brake but only at slow speeds and i mean slow as in nearly to a halt and press the brake the revs sort or rise as if its stopping the endine stalling. Ive never noticed this in other cars ive owned . is it meant to do it? is it a subaru thing for what ever reason .
Any ideas.
cheers

I had something similar on an old vauxhall and it was a slight leak in a vacuum hose

That will be the idle speed valve compensating for the manifold pressure change, when you have braked. The servo works from inlet manifold vacuum.

Take off your shoes and try doing what ur doing bare footed, Im thinking along the lines of massive feet, like Bigfoot as W.t.f look it's a human cattamaran as in twin hulled vessel!what size of feet do have anyway? Maybe one foot covers two pedals, so i think that as you brake the humoungous foot also catches the accelerator pedal is my answer to your query😃

sounds like the brake servo is leaking that will increase the revs as u press the peddle due to the vacume leak.
