What year car?
I would also say not to drive with a faulty maf, it can lean the fuelling out which can cause engine damage (note P1's and blown engines )

Hi,

We would strongly recommend that you do not drive your car until you have replaced the MAF sensor as it will cause fuelling issues as it's not measuring the correct air intake volume etc.

We can supply you one of these (Genuine subaru part) delivered next day for a lot cheaper than what you've been quoted (around half the price).

Very easy to fit, just unscrew two bolts and unplug. Refit and let car idle for around 10/15 mins to let it adjust to new sensor.

Hope this helps.

Cheers
