As above, would the V5 inlet manifold fit? I know it would require some extra wires to the ecu and that the simtek software will need an update

To get the AVCS working you would have to change the ECU to one capable of running it

I believe that the manifold will fit, don't know about simtek being able to but I'd assume it can, syvecs can

yeah I know that mate I've already got a simtek ecu which I know can be sent back and reprogrammed.
What I want to know is , will it physically fit? i.e. can I use my original inlet manifold

Can anyone else confirm that the inlet manifold will fit and will only need some wiring to the ecu and mapped

To put prices into perspective I bought a 2004 uk sti engine with 45k on the clock, it came with a few little extra goodies like cosworth sump baffle and even came with injectors, the engine was complete apart from the exhaust and A/C pump and set me back just over a grand.

Just keep looking and the bargains do pop up. I'm sure you'll find a couple in the classified section.
Cheers Ian.
