Hey there its been saying cylinder 4 misfire detected(cant remember code
off top if head) for the past 6 months light would come on and off until eventually it stayed on and now runs like a bag of sh**e. I got told it was neutral position sensor common fault i believe so changed that and then we believed it to be the coil pack but hmmmm not that either. So now it would seem its a wiring problem to the ecu. So frustrating aaaarrrrrgggghhhh

Hi mate I had exactally the same prob but mine was Cyl2. After changing the nps and throttle pos sensor and changed all the coil packs as well as the plugs around and got no joy I took it to Richard Henry autosports and Andy there said he had seen something like this before. It turned out to be a dodgy connection on one of the connector blocks at the back of the battery. He got hold of the blocks and gave them a wiggle and hey presto no misfire. It did happen again after about 4 mths so I gave them a really good spray with wd40 and it's never done it since and that was about a year ago so it's worth giving it a try mate
