im thinking to fit one from the fog cover how the best route plus how long the ducting to be? where best place to get it from? cheers rob

I put mine through the inner wing, I bought 1 metre length 52mm from this seller

3 inch should be fine, the pipercross one in link below might be better quality and has fittings.
